This morning was another bitter-sweet moment as we sent off our wonderful senior missionary couple for their mission/adventure in the Philippines! They have been preparing, longing and waiting for this mission since they were a young couple. They are sooooooooo excited this day has finally come! They’ve been here for almost two weeks, and we and all the missionaries have adored them. They will be such a great blessing to the mission president and the missionaries in the Philippines!
The joy of serving a senior mission isn’t expressed enough! Just imagine the joy that can come if you travel to a new place and have the opportunity to just serve and help people who will love you more than you can ever love them. You get to work with missionaries who are such wonderful young adults who are serving the Lord and sacrificing their own education or work to help others. It’s such an amazing experience. If older couples and people really knew the joy it brings and how much fun it is….they would be lining up in long lines hoping for the experience!
