On Sunday 10 September 2023, a change in Stake Patriarch for the Poole England Stake was announced.
Patriarch is an office in the Melchizedek Priesthood and so once ordained a man is not released, however age or illness may require the patriarch to be placed on non-functioning status.
Edward Keith Wigglesworth who was ordained in 2009 was given a vote of thanks and gratitude for the years of dedicated service he has given to the members of the stake.
Brian Martin was ordained a Patriarch by Stake President Peter Cope as authorised by the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles who approved this action, thereby becoming the new Stake Patriarch.
