Local Church members and friends attending a special conference held on Sunday 8 January 2023 at Westside Close, Old Sarum, Salisbury, sustained the organisation of the Salisbury Ward.
2023 is the 60th anniversary year of the Salisbury Branch, as it was first organised in 1963.
Conducting the conference was newly called Bishop Edwin Ralph who was the first speaker. Bishop Ralph in his address reminded all those present, some 150+ in number, of the dedication of members who had served in the area down the years – remarking that the current leaders stand on the shoulders of these giants.
Sister Doreen Taylor who has been a member of the Church in Salisbury since 1967, was next invited to bear her testimony, before President Kevin E. Gallacher, President of the England Bristol Mission, who served part of his full-time mission as a young man in Salisbury 41 years ago, spoke to the congregation bearing his testimony of the Saviour Jesus Christ and His restored Gospel.
The concluding remarks were given by Stake President Peter Cope, who spoke about the need to build our individual relationships with the Saviour and to extend our love to our neighbours / fellow mankind.
After the second hour meetings, all in attendance gathered for a group photo followed by a munch and mingle.
